Job Description:

This position provides administrative support to the Facility Equipment Manager in the system administration of an automated preventive maintenance program used by the Lake Washington Ship Canal, a multipurpose lock and dam facility. Responsibilities Supports a predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance control program. Utilizes an automated maintenance management system to prepare and generate work orders. Schedules preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment. Verifies work order information for completeness and accuracy. Manages and maintains a library of manuals and prints needed to support the maintenance program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages and maintains a library of manuals and prints needed to support the maintenance program. Serves as a secondary timekeeper.
  • Serves as a back-up travel and training coordinator.
  • Prepares a variety of correspondence, forms and other materials as needed.
  • Verifies work order information for completeness and accuracy.

Job Requirements:

  • One year of specialized experience which includes experience with tracking or scheduling maintenance on equipment and/or facilities.
  • This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
  • Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
  • You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
