Job Description:

We currently have a career opening for a Manager Application Development (Security). Open to employees living anywhere in the United States we are a remote first team with the majority of team members working 100% remotely. This role resides within our Information Security team. The manager in this role will lead a group that will be working with application teams to secure their applications through secure coding techniques, aid in shifting security left, and ease the burden of applications teams in a DevSecOps environment. Your team will be developing tools which could require some coding by them in building out application security products. Traditionally Application Security was a function of Security Architecture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining, updating, and socializing the team’s strategy and road map in partnership with principal and senior leaders
  • Supporting the team’s objectives by managing the team’s financials, creating business cases, and securing the appropriate funding
  • Understanding the needs of the organization and providing solutions that enable delivery of products and services to Cardinal Health customers
  • Collaborating across Information Security and Application teams to advocate for Application Security
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers on the team
  • Managing the fast-growing Application Security team
  • Updating the Application Team strategy to “shift left” security early in SDLC processes, aiding application teams with automation to ease the burden
  • Implementing and leading team processes to enable delivery of the Application Security road map initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading and managing innovative teams of highly technical professionals
  • A general understanding of or an interest in application security.
  • Advanced experience in Software Development and Software Development Leadership
  • Demonstrated understanding and industry best practices for Application Development.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing, creative design, journalism, advertising, communications, or public relations preferred
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred, specifically experience related to generic pharmaceutical industry, OTC/private label pharmaceuticals
  • 4+ years’ experience in related field, preferred
