Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement general policies, procedures, and clinical practices for the conduct of occupational clinical services to meet the rapidly and constantly changing missions of the CDC, including multiple emergency responses.
  • Provide oversight and direction to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners for on-call medical care, as needed.
  • Participate with the OHC Supervisory Physician in providing agency-wide occupational health services, including emergency, urgent, and routine medical care, surveillance programs, and support for Workers’ Compensation issues as well as any reporting requirements.
  • Provide medical evaluation and treatment for a wide variety of occupational exposures, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Provides first aid and medical consultation for medical emergencies occurring in CDC facilities or while performing CDC duties.
