Job Description And Duties

The Office of Immigrant Youth is looking for a collaborative self-starter to join the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors program team. Applicants will support policy analysis, program design, grant management, program oversight, and capacity building to support service providers and serve unaccompanied refugee youth.
Telework opportunities are available for this position. The AGPA or SSA would report to CDSS Headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the AGPA or SSA. If telework ends the AGPA or SSA will have to report to CDSS Headquarters in Sacramento.

Special Requirements
Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) which must specify which position (AGPA or SSA) the candidate is seeking. The SOQ must also describe how the candidate’s work experience, personal interests and education have prepared them to perform the essential functions of the AGPA or SSA position supporting the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors program.
The document must meet the following technical requirements:
The document must be typed;
Font size 11 or larger;
Single spaced;
Letter size (8.5”x11”);
With standard margins; and
Up to two pages in length.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are considered limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
