Job Responsibilities:

  • Present health communication briefings or presentations to the local public
  • Develop toolkits, checklists, quick guides, localized testimonial campaigns, etc. using the latest CDC and/or DSHS guidance provided to increase vaccine education
  • Ensure products are targeted or tailored for diverse audiences
  • Lead informal work teams by organizing and directing team activities, setting and monitoring objectives, and providing advice, guidance, and direction on a range of health communication and administrative issues
  • Collect, analyze, and present data to support program reports, program activity and to continuously improve program quality such as patient satisfaction surveys and root cause analysis
  • Provide and/or organize trainings and education opportunities for employees in order to achieve successful implementation and program involvement
  • Utilize knowledge and expertise in specific subject matter areas
  • Work alongside Public Information Officer to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate informational and educational materials intended to reach broad national audiences
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days of hire
  • Maintain knowledge of current program guidelines and regulations including policies on the local, state, and federal levels
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience
  • A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered

Qualification & Experience:

  • Requires an Associates Degree
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience
  • A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
