Job Description:
In this position, you will work as part of the administrative support team for the Wastewater Regulatory Compliance Laboratory. Your duties will include:
Job Responsibilities:

Assists in tracking and monitoring expenditures, including purchase orders, P-card, and contracts.

Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensures that they are only available to authorized persons.

Maintains records and other vital information.

Interprets and implements basic City of Houston rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in day-to-day operations.

Maintain vehicle database with up-to-date information.

Assists with managing office supplies including distribution, tracking, and ordering new supplies.

Assists in the coordination of staff services, such as personnel, purchasing, and office management.

Maintain a database of staff compliance with mandatory training courses and licenses.

Prepares periodic and special reports; compiles information and maintains department reference information.

Assists in the preparation, submission, and tracking of travel, training, and membership requests for laboratory personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- One year of administrative experience is required.
- Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a closely related field.
