The Department of Health, Division of Laboratory Improvement, is looking for a highly motivated individual with an attention for detail. This Clerical Assistant 2 position serves as key member to the organization’s mission of licensing and regulating clinical laboratories within the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Clerical Assistant 2 enters demographic changes to laboratory permits into the PA LabCert database and CLIA database to ensure that information is correct and up to date. Other responsibilities including utilizing the LabCert database to generate laboratory permits, form letters, invoices and reports to notify the laboratory that licensure has been granted, that changes have been processed, or that more information is required. You will sort and distribute incoming mail to ensure that information is updated in a timely manner and that CLIA targets are met regarding the turn-around-time for new applications and changes to certification.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 1-hour lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to one day a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Exton.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Necessary Special Requirement:
This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
This particular position also requires a current driver’s license which is not under suspension.
