Job Description:

These positions are located in Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization – National Capital Region (PL6) at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Serve as Lead Contract Specialist within the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization – National Capital Region (DITCO-NCR) and warranted Contracting Officer with limited or unlimited signatory authority.
Develop solicitations, evaluate proposals, conduct cost/price analysis, complete negotiations, lead source selection, prepare contracts, and award and administer contracts for large, complex procurements of IT products and services.
Direct/perform the full range of contract administration actions required for complex/significant programs.
Provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining what improvements can be made to work methods, processes, and procedures.
Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and works in teams to accomplish tasks or projects, and provide or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary.
Represent the team in dealings with the supervisor or manager for the purpose of obtaining resources and securing needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues that arise.
Lead the team in meetings with various customers and vendors to discuss emerging requirements, implementation, or administration issues.

Must be a U.S.Citizen.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
OGE-450 Financial Disclosure Statement Required.
Critical Acquisition Position.

For entry at the GS-14 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
