Job Description:
This position is being announced under FEMA’s Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process.

- Ensuring all administrative policies and procedures are maintained, updated and performed appropriately and will support division wide administrative functions, duties and responsibilities.
- Assisting with tracking Suspense Report items to ensure deadlines are met.
- Processing all branch correspondence according to protocol and in a timely manner.
- Providing phone support, conducting routine administrative duties such as copying, documenting meeting minutes, preparing weekly report, assigning and coordinating congressional inquiries and responses as well as disaster related assignments.
- Processing all payroll for branch and support division payroll and implementing checklist and audits for the mitigation division according to rules and regulations.

Qualification & Experience:
- You qualify for this position at the IC-07 level if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-06) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience.
