Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- This is entry-level professional work performing scientific tasks under general supervision.
- The job requires skills in applying instructions to accomplish different job functions and a general understanding of scientific principles.
- Produces timely and accurate documentation of file reviews, inspections, site visits or field work.
- Processes reports in accordance with established program rules, requirements, and policies.
- Enters documentation, compliance data and resolution actions into the designated database.
- Reviews required reports, test reports and notices for regulated facilities.
- Ensures the reviews are accurate, completed timely and entered into the designated database.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to physically conduct field inspections/investigations.
- Knowledge of the Department’s compliance and enforcement policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific and technical data.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to drive and travel, including some overnight.
- Ability to work well with people.
- Skill and proficiency in computer operations and programs.
- Ability to communicate in a tactful and courteous manner both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of the physical or natural sciences.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable regulations, policies and procedures relating to environmental programs.
