Job Description:

As a Part-time, Pre-Enrollment Advisor at the Westminster Campus, you will work in collaboration with the Admissions & Outreach and Pathways Advising teams in supporting students in preparing to meet with a Pathways Advisor and enroll in the institution. You will work with students from the time of completed application through the enrollment steps including placement, paying for college planning, and registration preparation. You will be responsible for welcoming students to the college and assisting them through readiness for Pathways Advising. This position will also assist the Admissions & Outreach team as needed to work with new incoming students as they navigate the college search and application process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist students through the enrollment process from time of completed application to the first Pathways Advising appointment
  • Assist with welcome calls to new Boulder County Campus students and process Pre-Registration forms
  • Verify degree program and assist student in changing their degree plan when necessary
  • Assist in determining placement and pre-requisite overrides for the campus
  • Assign students to their Pathways Advisor in Banner
  • Maintain general knowledge of the curricula for FRCC degrees, certificates, courses and issues relevant to transferring to Colorado four-year institutions.
  • Maintain knowledge and currency with FRCC policies and procedures for admissions, enrollment, and completing a program of study.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited college/university with an Associate’s Degree.
  • One year of academic advising experience, student affairs/services experience or customer service experience in higher education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer applications and Internet use is needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Commitment to diversity and ability to work with a diverse college community population.
