Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for each assigned project’s overall application, processing, construction, closing, management control, coordination and execution in accordance with HUD’s published guidelines and guidance.
  • Implement team decisions, applicable regulations and policy in the development of the project.
  • Negotiate and integrate all agency functions including underwriting, planning, design review, cost engineering, appraisal, credit evaluation and approval, loan closing, construction, start-up and long term management systems and sponsor customer needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for projects assigned with senior HUD management, the sponsor, representatives of other Federal, state and local government agencies, and other external organizations.
  • Arrange and conduct initial Concept Meetings with prospective FHA lenders and owners of multifamily properties, leads discussion of all FHA insurance underwriting considerations, including the location and nature of the project, the timing constraints of other financing commitments, the qualifications and good standing of the owner, lender, and other key parties involved, etc.
