Job Description:

Oversees and maintains daily web production and information for customer-facing websites, tools, social platforms, and applications within the Communications department. Assists in the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns across all paid media including the execution of social media buys and e-commerce promotions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff and contract employees on the completion of updates and projects
  • Contributes to ensuring that the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and programs of Metro are carried out For Social Media Assignments
  • Reviews requests and projects for feasibility, tone, and accuracy
  • Regulates and manages access rights of different users, and oversees security and administration of Metro social media accounts or websites
  • Monitors metrics and develops periodic reports to document accomplishments and traffic/usage
  • Meets with marketing, design, and other Metro departments to develop a Scope of Work (SOW), scheduling, and deliverables
  • Oversees daily account management across all Metro social channels
  • Performs daily content production and manages calendar; reviews and manages content for accuracy, editorial correctness, and cohesive voice with other customer collaterals
  • Monitors Metro and transportation related conversations on social media
  • Analyzes feedback and analytics to develop new features; reviews and tests new features and tools for quality assurance; works to troubleshoot, document, and fix technical bugs and errors
  • Acts as producer and project manager for Metro social media accounts
  • Assists Information Technology (IT) with web network access issues as needed, e.g., program and server access privileges
  • Coordinates with other cross-functional teams to ensure overall function of site-wide features and design are in compliance with Metro standards
  • Provides guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees

Job Requirements:

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
  • Theories, principles, and practices of public information and media communications
  • Project management techniques and tools For Social Media Assignments
  • Networking and internet technology
  • Applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing information systems for a public agency based on assignment
  • Third-party and native web metrics/analytics tools
  • Optimizing the customer user experience
  • Analyzing complex situations and data, identifying and resolving problems, and recommending solutions
  • Utilizing marketing and communications principles
  • Creating and implementing effective social media strategies for a variety of goals, stakeholders and channels
  • Implementing content strategy
  • Enhancing the user experience
  • Coding, if applicable

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Visual Communications, Design, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Five years of relevant experience in digital marketing or in website administration and production; some positions in this class may require specialized experience in area of assignment
