This job was posted by : For more information, please see: &&&&BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES:&& Medical & Dental Insurance, Vacation & Sick Leave (accrued bi-weekly), Paid Holidays (12), Paid Long Term Disability and Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Wellness Program and Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho-P.E.R.S.I.&&&&&&&&&&&WORK SCHEDULE:&& Monday – Thursday & Tuesday – Friday; rotating ten (10) hour shifts.&&&&&&&&&&&&GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:&& Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Services Supervisor or ASD Lead, an employee in this class will process and maintain all records generated by Police personnel for public and official Police use; performs related work as required.&&&&&&&&&&&Record Clerk duties 70%&&&&&ul&&li&Entering data and reviewing for police records into the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS);&/li&&li&Processes, copies, and prepares documents to be sent to the City Attorney, prosecuting attorney, court, officers and other agencies and departments;&/li&&li&Enters, updates and removes information of stolen property, missing persons, into the NCIC system. Contacts victims of stolen property that have been entered into NCIC;&/li&&li&Runs criminal histories, drivers’ histories, and vehicle registration for police officers, detectives, administration, and court appointed persons;&/li&&li&Greets and assists citizens at the division help counter by pulling and copying releasable reports, calling for Police Officer assistance, taking walk-in reports.&/li&&/ul&&&&&&&&&&Other duties 30%&&&&&ul&&li&Responding to public information requests and other related duties;&/li&&li&Assists dispatch with call taking and CAD entries;&/li&&li&Assists individuals with required fingerprinting and completing appropriate documents;&/li&&li&Performs general office typing as needed to complete forms, memos, letters, schedules, applications and billing forms.&/li&&/ul&&&The final applicant for the position will participate in a background investigation which includes a criminal history check and polygraph.&&&&&&&&&&&PRE-EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENTS:&&&&& &&The two (2) assessments (Data Entry Alpha Numeric Hard Copy and Typing General 3-minutes) will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete and the results will be sent directly to the Human Resource Office.& To schedule an appointment, contact any Idaho Department of Labor (DOL) office.& The Magic Valley Office is located at 420 Falls Ave in Twin Falls or call 208-735-2500.&&& &&&&&&&&QUALIFICATIONS:&& Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency, certification with course work in general office skills, typing speed of 40 wpm. Previous general office experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which proves the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Must obtain Idaho Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (ILETS) certification upon hire.&&&
