Job Description:
The UCLA Health Graduate Administrative Internship Program is an exciting 10-12 week summer program designed to provide qualified young leaders with project work and exposure to a busy academic medical center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying ways to optimize the performance of the tableau dashboards with new perspective
- Building an efficient and useful process to optimize workspace documentation
- Exploring new simplistic NLP models for practical use
- Making recommendations for workflow improvements within the PCC
- Offering data-driven recommendations of how to improve the quality and support of the patient’s calls
- Surveying the current healthcare industry to make recommendations for newest innovations and technologies to adopt that will improve the patient’s experience
Job Requirements:
- The mission of the UCLA Health Patient Access Organization (PAO) is to support strategies and initiatives to help transform and improve patient access into and through UCLA Health with the ultimate goal of ensuring that patients receive care with the right provider at the right time. This internship will provide exposure to, and an understanding of the 3 areas within the PAO: Patient Communication Center (PCC), Quality and Support Services, and Business Systems and Technology. Projects for this Administrative internship will be focused on improving the patient’s experience while offering improved efficiencies within the PCC. Potential projects include:
